NOW days, any
church that is NOT making an effort to keep its name
prominent cannot grow!
Big budget or
small budget - do something! It won't be wrong, but you
can always change directions later. But you have got to
get in the habit.
Start small.
Try a few different things. Keep the ones that get good
results and replace the ones that just don't work for
you. Think about your age groups and things that are
appropriate to them. Have some things for kids, some for
youth and some for adults. You'll see pretty quickly
that it is worth your effort.
Keep some
items on hand for everyday, anytime use. Special order
items for special events and projects.
I am
especially partial to promoting for kids. They love
pencils, pins, tee-shirts, bracelets - anything a little
unusual. They show them to their friends and tell them
where they came from and why.
So, get
moving! Remember, anything that is in motion will run
into something. So if you are promoting at all, you will
make some rewarding contacts.
Also,
remember, it's a whole lot easier to change directions
if you are moving than if you are sitting still. So get
moving!
